In late 2011, W.C. Weil and Fairbanks Morse Pump Service Group partnered to complete a time sensitive emergency repair for a Western PA Authority.  In less than 45 days; two severely deteriorated, 7-stage, 300HP vertical turbine pumps were removed, rebuilt, reinstalled and back in service; providing critical source water to the treatment plant.

A local Municipal Authority required a solution at the headworks of their Water Treatment Plant which would allow them to supply their plant with an even flow of water; regardless of the water level in the river which the plant pulls from. The design began in 2008, the job bid in 2009, and start-up was conducted in 2011.

W.C. Weil assisted the Authorities engineer with the pump selection during design of this raw water intake and ultimately performed the start-up on three 100HP Fairbanks Morse Submersible pumps in this state of the art influent pump station system
